GIS Mapping Software that makes you profitable

GPS2CAD gives design professionals major cost savings in Topo Surveying and mapping. By using recreational-grade GPS units the professional can collect field information and plot it in AutoCAD, or their favorite CAD program.

Most recreational GPS units are well-suited for site layout and “topo-plotting” requirements that do not need great accuracy, and GPS2CAD bridges the gap between these GPS units and CAD read more

GPS2CAD is the only GIS Mapping softwareAutocad 2010 Compatible we know of that is directly compatible with AutoCAD Versions 2000 through 2010. It lets you easily bring your GPS points into your CAD environment.
At the click of a button, you can plot polylines, points, and blocks.

Blocks and points can be plotted in 3D, for use in terrain modeling packages. The blocks carry attributes showing all the point data.

AMC Inc., the makers of GPS2CAD, are registered Autodesk Developers, so you know it works correctly with AutoCAD

View Your Data with "EarthToCAD" While this feature is designed to work with any bitmap image source, one of the most popular is Google Earth™. This features lets you import the great images from Google Earth, calibrate them, and plot the points and lines from your GPS unit onto the image. Then with the click of a button, the image and point data is all sent into your AutoCAD drawing, ready for drafting. The coordinate translation is done correctly and everything is placed into your drawing at the correct scale. read more

GPS Mapping:

Free Aerial and Topo Maps: The mapping module recovers free aerial and topographic images from Terraserver-USA. These images are the public domain images published by the U.S. Geological Survey. Once imported, the point data is plotted on top for viewing, and then with the click of a button the images are sent into the AutoCAD drawing, scaled and ready for as a background for your drafting. read more

Uses Most Common GPS Units

for use withs most garmin unitsMost Garmin GPS units and Magellan GPS units are compatible with GPS2CAD, and connect at the click of a button. In addition,

GPS2CAD will read files exported from Garmin's MapSource and Magellan's MapSend. Point files from other GPS and post-processing programs can be read into GPS2CAD through an extensive "Import Wizard".

Provides Datum Translation GPS2CAD translates the GPS into more than 40 world wide coordinate systems, including the extremely popular NAD 27, NAD 83, and the State Plane Coordinate systems (used in the United States).

Import / Export: Send your points back to your GPS With the import/export module, you can send your points back to the GPS unit,. This means that if you decide to move things around in your AutoCAD drawing, you can send the changes - or even new data - back to the GPS unit so you can locate them in the field. The import/export module also lets you export your data to .dxf files, so they can be imported into other CAD programs. read more
